Here Are Things You Need to Know About the Healing Process After a Brazilian Butt Lift

Brazilian butt lift (BBL) is one of the most-sought procedures today. The main aim of this cosmetic procedure is to boost the shape and volume of the butt. However, the most challenging part comes with the healing process. Before you go for a Brazilian butt lift (BBL), you must know you are making an informed decision. If you have been cleared by the surgeon to sit, they recommend not sitting for more than 10 minutes. 

Compression Garments 

Compression garments are vital after BBL. Your surgeon will provide special garments to keep the butt in shape without too much pressure. The main goal is to reduce movement in the treated areas and stimulate better healing. After a Brazilian butt lift with Dr. Chamata, you will be required to wear the compression garments for several weeks to get the best results. You will wear them most of the time during the first three weeks, but you can reduce the time to 12 hours a day after the three weeks. Always wear them with loose clothes, and don’t forget the pads to absorb the leaking fluid. 

Hygiene after a Brazilian Butt Lift

Hygiene is a critical part of the healing process. With all the bandages, limited mobility, and soreness, taking a shower can be difficult and not recommended when wearing the bandages. Nonetheless, it is vital to stay clean. Ensure you take stool softeners to make bathroom visits easier, drink lots of water, and wipe yourself. Your surgeon will indicate when you can bathe safely.   

Managing Pain 

You will be prescribed medication to help manage the pain. The doctor may recommend having a caregiver since you may be unstable during the first 48 hours after surgery. Ensure you take all the prescribed medication to help deal with the pain that is usually almost unbearable during the first 72 hours.
